Daily Dose of Death.
(hi-res is love.)
During my early days of watching South Park, Kenny has already been in a special spot. My fandom, like everyone else, rose to a maximum level when he was revealed to be Mysterion. I’m also glad to see his role has increased in the series since then. His connection to the Cthulhu mythos seals him as one of my top favorite characters in fiction.
I wish I could finish this earlier and post it on time but the more important thing is:
Happy birthday Kenneth McCormick!
My submission for Neil Gaiman’s A Calendar of Tales.
While reading the story and drawing this, I kept listening to Johnny Cash’s version of Hurt and it just sounds the story perfectly. Both tells the story of something ending and a new beginning. Nothing lasts forever.
I decided to draw the characters as juveniles because the kind of thought that something will last forever is such a juvenile way of thinking, in my humblest opinion.
I also wanted to add olive wreath on the head of Peter and August to represent their status as the emperor of their own world, but I’m already at the last of my strength…. I’m afraid I might become November…..
Through bloodshot throbbing eyes and fatigue, I hope this piece represents the story well.
(edit: what I meant was the cover of the NIN song by Johnny Cash. How the lack of a word gives a whole wrong meaning. Mea culpa, my friends, mea culpa.)
Sorry for the reuploads. I’m having problems with the png….
(full view please.)
This piece kinda fried my brain because of its details…. But I hope you like it as much as I do :)
Me #1: “Let’s draw something simple!”
Me #2: “Yeah! let’s! Oh, and let’s make a coronation armor too while at it!”
Me #1: “….”
Smoking hot Kenny. I hope I still get it right.
My take on adult Kenny. I’m strangely anxious sharing this…..
